| Omegamon/Omnimon will be released as a plamo kit by Bandai in winter 2010 Price: 3,990 Yen Omnimon is the Digimon that results when WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon DNA Digivolve together to create a stronger Digimon. His body is entirely covered in white armor adorned with black, blue and yellow markings. His left arm ends in WarGreymon's head and his right arm with MetalGarurumon's, giving him two primary attacks (Transcendent Sword and Supreme Cannon). The cape he wears flows over the width of his body. The name "Omnimon" is derived from "omni", a Latin prefix meaning "all". His Japanese name, "Omegamon", derives from the "omega", the last letter of the Greek alphabet. Also, because of his relationship with Alphamon, he and Alphamon are supposed to represent Alpha and Omega. His first appearance is in the second Digimon Adventure film, Our War Game!. WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon had tried unsuccessfully to defeat Diaboromon, a Digimon they followed into the Internet to prevent him from consuming all its data. When Tai and Matt were accidentally transported inside the Internet they gave their spiritual energy to their Digimon so that they could win - Omnimon formed and defeated Diaboromon. In the second Digimon Adventure 02 movie, Revenge of Diaboromon, Omnimon reformed when the DigiDestined discovered that Diaboromon survived the first battle and returned to the Internet. Omnimon destroyed what he thought was Diaboromon but found that the battle had been a trap - he had been fighting a decoy that exploded to reveal the innumerable Kuramon that were sealed inside. After wreaking havoc in the Real World all of them fused to form Armageddemon, who Omnimon fought, but when he used his surpreme cannon to blow a hole in his forehead, Armageddemon shot out laser whips from the hole that defeated Omnimon. He gave his energy to Imperialdramon Fighter Mode (a more powerful version of Imperialdramon, the Mega Digimon formed when Veemon and Ken Ichijouji's partner Wormmon DNA Digivolve), who permanently destroyed Armageddemon when he Mode Changed into Imperialdramon Paladin Mode. Attacks * Transcendent Sword (Grey Sword): Slashes with the Grey Sword which emerges from the WarGreymon head hand. * Supreme Cannon (Garuru Cannon): Fires colossal energy balls at foes from a cannon the emerges from the MetalGarurumon head hand. * Omni Blaster (Omega Blast): Charges fire energy from both of his hands. This is his most powerful attack. |

Linkin Park Rock Album to Bundle Gundam Plastic Model
U.S. band contributes theme for Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs. arcade game
Warner Music Japan has announced on Wednesday that the American rock band Linkin Park is contributing a theme song for Bandai Namco Games'Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs. arcade game. In addition, a deluxe box of the band's newest album, A Thousand Suns, will bundle a limited-edition Gundamplastic model ("Gunpla") in Japan on November 24.
The theme song, "The Catalyst," is the first single from the album. Two editions of the album will ship in Japan on September 15, two months before the "Gunpla 30th Anniversary Edition" will ship. This is the first time that a video game from the Gundamfranchise has featured a song from a Western musical artist.
The album's Gunpla 30th Anniversary Edition will include a HGUC 1/144 RX-78GP01Fb Gundam GP01Fb Full Vernian "Linkin Park Edition" plastic model kit. According to their official Japanese website, the members of the band are big fans of the Gundamrobot anime franchise, and they designed the custom color scheme of the model. The Gunpla Edition will feature special box art with the band members and the Gundam design.
Update: The music video for Linkin Park's "Somewhere I Belong" song (2003) happened to feature several Gundam models — including theGundam GP01Fb Full Vernian. Linkin Park DJ Joe Hahn remixed supercell's "Black Rock Shooter" song for a stop-motion video included in the Special Edition of the Black Rock Shooter anime.
Hahn had previously directed an award-winninganimated music video for Linkin Park's "Breaking the Habit" song. Hahn worked with animatorKazuto Nakazawa (Kill Bill Chapter 3: The Origin of O-Ren, Samurai Champloo, Genius Party Beyond's "Moondrive") and Tokyo-based G.D.H.International on the music video, and the video inspired a graphic novel by Tokyopop.
Californian singer Andrew W.K. released a cover album of J-pop songs that included the "Ai Senshi" song from the Mobile Suit Gundam II: Soldiers of Sorrow film. He then released GundamRock, an album of English-language rock covers of Gundam anime songs, last September in Japan.
